UNICUM RISERVA

The uniqueness of Unicum Riserva lies in its unparalleled production process, known as "double-barrel" aging. The foundation of the product, Unicum, is aged in the largest and oldest cask in the cellar system located at Soroksári Street in Budapest, which is over eighty years old. Over the course of many decades, a special substance called "black honey" forms in the barrel, imparting a more pronounced character to the Unicum.

Following this initial aging, the liquid undergoes further maturation in casks sourced from the cellars of Tokaj. As the well-known bittersweet taste of Unicum meets the sensually sweet Tokaji aszú, the complex flavor profile of Unicum Riserva becomes softer yet spicier and fruitier, with a hint of apricot, subtly herbal, cool, minty breeze. It perfectly harmonizes the exciting and exotic herbs with the seductive, honeyed essence of Tokaj.
