The company initially created Unicum as a digestive aid. The secret recipe, which\ncombines more than 40 herbs and spices, was passed down through the Zwack family for\ngenerations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The company faced many challenges over the years: World War II, the Soviet occupation of Hungary, nationalisation and finally emigration.
